All my time visiting Temecula Wine Country and I had no idea there was a Temecula zoo right around the corner from some of my favorite wineries. Sugarplum Zoo as an intimate animal sanctuary with some amazing furry friends. Guests can visit this amazing Temecula Zoo and interact with their many animals including Zeus the camel, a zebra, pigs, cows, rescued birds, dwarf horses, and so much more. This was my first time petting a camel by the way!
The owners also produce delicious chocolates which you can find at the Carter Estate Chocolate Pairing. Carter Estate and South Coast Winery will also be providing a shuttle to and from the zoo in the near future. This is truly such an adorable and unique experience in Wine Country. All proceeds go towards helping the zoo home and feed all their rescues. A tour is only $10 for adults and $5 for children. Each tour also comes with a sample of their delicious chocolates.
This is such a cool experience and for a great cause. I hope you all enjoy this little hidden Temecula treasure in the heart of wine country!
