About Casablanca Villa in Barbados

Casablanca Villa is a 9,500 sqft property featuring 7 bedrooms including a private cottage each with its own private bathroom, fitness center, expansive 2-acre garden, bar lounge, large infinity pool, tennis court, 2 living rooms, enclosed media room, and even an additional chef’s prep kitchen. The Villa can accommodate up to 14 guests comfortably.

The decor is described by the owner as “Sophisticated Tropical.” The design is well-balanced with an open floor concept featuring furniture with natural materials and textures. Walking through the open living spaces exudes an airy ambiance.

Throughout the Villa are subtle splashes of tropical patterns with a more subdued color palette of peaches, light blues, and neutral tones with lush plants throughout.

It’s All About Location

Casablanca Villa is located in the prestigious Sandy Lane area. For those who aren’t familiar with the island, Sandy Lane is home to the well-known Sandy Lane Resort and is frequented by high-profile clientele. It is the single most exclusive location on the island. Situated directly behind Casablanca Villas is the Golf Course of the Old Nine.

The area known as Sandy Lane is in the parish of Saint James which is about a 30- 45 minute drive from the Bridgetown Airport.

During your stay, you’ll also have a private butler. I honestly had no idea what to expect, but our butler Jason was amazing and helped with everything we could possibly need and more. During one of our Barbados adventures, my guest lost her purse and we called Jason. He retraced all of our steps, contacted the driver that was arranged for us, and had her purse waiting in her room when we returned.

VIP Airport Arrival & Departure

Upon arrival, Sarah Young arranged a wonderful VIP Airport Fast Track that expedited the entire customs and immigration process for a stress-free experience. They followed my flight the entire day so I did not have to worry about any flight delays.

As I exited the tarmac, an airline associate was waiting for me and escorted me to a private location where all of my paperwork and baggage were taken care of. They even have an area with snacks and a full bar. I did enjoy grabbing a little bottle of Prosecco for the road. I was ready to start my vacation after all!

The departure process is much the same with private transportation to the airport’s VIP Concierge lounge, expedited check-in, luggage scan, and customs processing. They had an egg & bagel sandwich waiting for me and also drove me directly to the plane before any passengers when it was time for boarding. It was beyond a first-class experience.

Private Transportation

During our entire trip, we had private transportation arranged. Our driver was at the VIP Airport lounge in a classy BMW sedan awaiting my arrival. He also drove us to all of our planned sightseeing and adventures throughout the trip and was waiting for me at 5:30 a.m. for my departure back to Bridgetown Airport.

Arrival at Casablanca Villa

Upon arrival at Casablanca Villa, I was greeted by my Butler Jason with a freshly muddled mint lemonade which was absolutely delicious. They knew I had just arrived from a very long flight and had a selection of fresh fruit and sandwiches waiting for me.

I was also given a full tour of the Villas and the master suite was all ready for me with the AC blasting.

The Master Suite

A small spiral staircase led me upstairs to the master suite. It was absolutely beautiful with French doors which opened to a large terrace overlooking their lush 2-acre garden and the golf course. In the morning you could even spot the island’s popular green monkeys running into the trees.

There was also an en suite master bathroom with a separate tub and a large walk-in closet with plenty of space to hang all my adorable perfectly selected Caribbean outfits. I also had a work desk in case I decided to do some remote work.

Daily Gourmet Meals

Each morning at Casablanca Villa, I would wake up to my perfect latte and the most wonderfully elaborate gourmet breakfast. Chef Derek knew exactly how I enjoyed my eggs and would serve them with sweet potato hash browns, fresh tomatoes with basil, avocado, a platter of fresh fruit, and a selection of Bajan juices made from fruit exclusive to the island. Some mornings I even enjoyed plantains which are my absolutely favorite. My mornings at Casablanca Villa were so memorable, that I even started making them at home when I returned!

For the first night, we enjoyed dinner at the Villa and I watched throughout the day as Chef Derek spent hours making our entire meal from scratch. I looked on as he made a variety of reductions and prepped fresh octopus. The dinner was absolutely outstanding and featured local cuisine such as rice and peas, seared snapper, and grilled octopus.

Things To Do in Barbados

During my time in Barbados, Sarah Young Concierge planned a full itinerary of activities for us to enjoy. Working with a concierge instead of trying to plan everything ourselves, ensured we were able to enjoy activities that a local from the Island would plan and avoid any tourist traps. It also meant relishing in the most luxurious experiences with the most reputable companies.

During my time at Casablanca Villa in Barbados, I sailed on a luxury catamaran while snacking on local cuisine, swam with sea turtles, visited a 300-year-old famous plantation, enjoyed an authentic Barbados rum tasting with a train ride, visited a popular local beach bar, played with monkeys at the Barbados Wildlife Reserve, and dined at the most wonderful ocean view restaurants on the island.

Private Beach Access

Another enjoyable perk when staying at Casablanca Villa is having access to the Sandy Lane Estate Beach Club with your own private cabana. This is one of the most pristine golden sand beaches in all of Barbados and only a short 8-minute walk from the Villa. The private beach club also has its own private bar as well as private changing rooms.
