The Vineyard Rose Restaurant at South Coast Winery Resort & Spa is the perfect culinary escape in Temecula’s Wine Country. Their cuisine combines classic California dishes with fresh seasonal locally-grown ingredients. Here is a sneak peek at our recent dining experience.
On our recent trip to Temecula, I planned a wonderful day trip for my fiancés birthday with Best Coast Tours. Our very first stop was wine tasting and lunch at the beautiful South Coast Winery and The Vineyard Rose Restaurant.
About South Coast Winery Resort & Spa
South Coast Winery Resort & Spa is one of the most popular resorts in all of Temecula. This is the first place I visited on my very first trip to Temecula many years ago. The resort offers elegant wine country charm with beautiful vineyard views.
This large property features numerous villas and suites with vineyard views, a luxury spa, relaxing pool & hot tub, and award-winning The Vineyard Rose Restaurant. All stays at the resort also include two wine tastings at their tasting room.
The Vineyard Rose Restaurant
If you’re staying in Temecula, you’ll definitely want to plan a visit to Vineyard Rose Restaurant. Their cuisine is always fantastic and they are also one of the few restaurants in Temecula that serves breakfast. Here is a peek at our most recent visit and my personal recommendations.
Charcuterie
A stay in wine country isn’t complete without ordering an epic charcuterie board and The Vineyard Rose Restaurant has one of the best. Each board features a generous selection of artisan meats and cheeses, seasonal fruit, nuts, olives, and honey comb.
Ceviche Tataki
The Ceviche Tataki is one of my favorite ceviche dishes of all time. The flavorful Citrus Miso Soy Vinaigrette is unparalleled and offers the perfect zesty balance to compliment the Furikake Crusted Ahi and seasonal Rockfish.
Steak Frites
If you’re craving a juicy perfectly cooked steak, the Steak Frites is the perfect dish with tender slices of flat iron steak bolstered with their decadent South Coast Winery Estate Sauce and chimichurri. It’s accompanied by their super crispy frites which can also be upgraded to truffle fries.
Linguine and Clams
If you’re craving seafood, the Linguine and Clams are wonderful and over flowing with fresh clams. I recommend ordering them with the creamy truffle alfredo sauce which is teamed with a Gremolata and roasted tomatoes.
The Wine
South Coast Winery prides itself on sustainable wine growing within the Temecula region of California. They offer a variety of full bodied reds, crisp whites, and even sparkling wines from their sister property Carter Estate.
After our wine country lunch we headed to the tasting room which is open Thursday – Saturday from 11 am – 8 pm and Sunday – Wednesday 11 am – 6 pm. I highly recommend their Red Wines, Sparkling, or Library Wines flight.
Reservations are highly recommended.
