When you think of summer dining, nothing says fresh seasonal ingredients more than Farmhouse at Rogers Gardens. Their latest menu offers a vibrant colorful menu full of fresh ingredients like nectarines, blueberries, sweet strawberries, carrots, heirloom tomatoes, and freshly plucked herbs. The new summer selections will offer savory dishes and salads with a sweet touch that guests are sure to enjoy.

Let’s take a look at Chef Rich Mead’s new summer menu. Diners will welcome several new starters and salads like the Farmhouse Market Salad and main dishes like the Grilled Barbecue Spice Rubbed Pork Tenderloin and Peach Bourbon Sauce. Let’s first take a look at their delicious new salads. My absolute favorite shown below is the Grilled Prime Sirloin and Heirloom Tomato Salad. This salad is incredibly refreshing and is reminiscent of a beautiful caprese salad topped with perfect slices of medium rare sirloin.
Grilled Prime Sirloin and Heirloom Tomato Salad with green beans, pickled red onions, avocado, little gem lettuce, grilled garlic croutons, fresh mozzarella, balsamic vinaigrette, chimichurri sauce
Another selection not listed on the new menu, but worth mentioning is their daily seasonal pizzas. Each day features a variety of fresh brick oven pizzas that are always a popular choice amongst guests. I love the additions of fresh nectarines which are one of my favorite summer fruits. You will find this ingredient featured in several of the new dishes on the summer menu.
Panko, Dijon and Citrus Crusted Icelandic Cod with brown and wild rice with orange zest, topped with pine nuts and currants over grilled asparagus with passion fruit vinaigrette
Next, Farmhouse at Rogers Gardens truly outdid themselves with their summer entrees. One of my favorites was the Panko, Dijon and Citrus Crusted Icelandic Cod. This dish featured brown and wild rice with orange zest, topped with pine nuts and currants over grilled asparagus with passion fruit vinaigrette. It absolutely screams summer and the panko breadcrumbs are the perfect element to add a nice crunch which really livens up the dish. Cod is also a wonderful fish which is full of nutrients and collagen. I’m recently on a mission to add more collagen to my diet as I just celebrated my 37th Birthday if you can believe it. The struggle is real!
Another show stopper is their Grilled Kumquat Glazed Swordfish, which is absolutely stunning. This beautiful dish is composed of a carrot puree with rapini, cipollini onions, pee wee potatoes, citrus relish, and topped with fried arugula. I am already predicting this will be one of the most popular selections this season.
All of my carnivores will appreciate the Grilled Barbecue Spice Rubbed Pork Tenderloin and Peach Bourbon Sauce. Grilled Pork Chops with fresh fruit compote is always a favorite summer dish I enjoy making at home. I especially enjoyed the southern touches like the braised greens and canella bean served on the side. There is also a unique cornbread stuffing with andouille sausage and gorgonzola.
Finally what dish would be complete without a fabulous cocktail? There are several new cocktails on the menu including the brand new cocktail seen above. It hasn’t even been named yet so I vote they call it the “Yellow Polka Dot Drinkini”. This Whim cocktail featured Melon Gin, lemon, and wild honey with drops of olive oil.
Second Opinion lemon, lime, citrus simple, gin, bitters
